Do you need any special tools to install these beverage holders?

No, they install simply by rotating the product vertically so that the "T" bar slides in between two straps. Then you simply rotate the product 90 degrees so that the "T" is perpendicular to the straps of the chair. Then you simply pull down the circle end with the mesh holder to a position that you prefer. The straps support the product and whatever you put in it.

I notice there are two versions, one is called the Beach Butler and the other is called the Beach Sidecar? What is the difference?

Both products do the same thing, they hold a beverage or any other valuable such as a smart phone to the side of any strap beach chair. The Beach Butler works best on beach chaise lounge chairs. The Beach Sidecar was made longer so that it would clear the arm of a strapped beach chair. It works equally well on arm chairs or loungers.

Can these beverage holders be customized?

Yes, they can be custom imprinted with any logo or name in quantities.
